Over the past several weeks, music chart junkies have been fixated on one question: which song will dethrone Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” from the top spot on the iTunes single sales chart.
The world may have received its answer Sunday night.
Issued to iTunes following the Billboard Music Awards premiere of its video, the remixed version of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” which features rapping from Kendrick Lamar, is already #9 on the all-genre single sales chart. By far the fastest-moving of Sunday’s performances, “Bad Blood (featuring Kendrick Lamar)” appears poised to reach #1 on the chart.
The video also boosted the original version of the song. As of press time, that edition of “Bad Blood” is #32 on the chart.
Used to power the celebrity-rich video, the remixed version of “Bad Blood” imminently hits pop and rhythmic radio.
