Last week, NBC issued series orders to drama pilots “Chicago Med,” “Heartbreaker” and “Blind Spot.”
This week, it offers 2015-16 lineup positions to comedy pilots “Crowded,” “Superstore” and “People are Talking.”
Starring Patrick Warburton and Carrie Preston, “Crowded” follows a married couple set to embrace their wild sides after twenty years of parenting. Unfortunately, that dream of freedom comes to an end when their two daughters move back into the house.
Stacy Keach, Carlease Burke, Mia Serafino and Miranda Cosgrove also star in the comedy from executive producer Sean Hayes.
“Superstore” stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman in a workplace comedy set in — you guessed it — a superstore. From writer and executive producer Justin Spitzer, “Superstore” also features Mark McKinney, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom and Nico Santos.
“People are Talking” focuses on two diverse couples that are both neighbors and best friends. No conversational topic is too edgy for this foursome. Written by DJ Nash and directed by Pamela Fryman, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tone Bell and Bresha Webb star. Meaghan Rath was in the pilot but will reportedly be recast due to her first position commitment to FOX’s new series “The Guide to Surviving Life.”
