Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” Drives 503K Christmas Week Sales

After losing its position to “Uptown Funk” last week, Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” returns to #1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

And thanks to Christmas iTunes gift card redemptions, it does so with its best weekly total to date.

The track, which is the second single from Swift’s blockbuster “1989,” registered 503,000 paid downloads during Christmas week. Easily enough for the weekly victory, the total is only the twelfth ever to exceed 500,000 and the greatest since Swift’s own “Shake it Off” moved 544,000 during its first week of release.

Other notable performers on the weekly Digital Songs chart:

2) Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” – 432K
3) Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” – 402K
4) Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin” – 339K
5) Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” – 237K
