Meghan Trainor’s Songs Claim Top Two Spots on Streaming Chart

In winning the weekly album sales race, claiming number one on the yearly album sales chart, leading the Hot 100 and topping the digital songs chart, Taylor Swift dominated the music business this past week.

But there is one realm she did not rule: streaming.

That honor instead goes to Meghan Trainor, whose “All About That Bass” and “Lips are Movin” claim the top two spots on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart. They registered 9.5 million and 9.1 million US streams, respectively.

Prior to this past week, only Iggy Azalea, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Miley Cyrus had achieved that feat.

Benefiting from streaming and sales increases, Trainor’s “Lips” and “Bass” claim the #4 and #5 positions on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
