Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight” Surges on Sales Chart Following “The Voice”

Another country single is reaping the benefits of exposure on NBC’s “The Voice.”

Last week, “God Made Girls,” by one-time contestant and current “On the Verge” artist RaeLynn, rocketed up the iTunes sales chart following her performance on the weekly results show.

This week, coach Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight,” which features Ashley Monroe, enjoys a similar boost.

Shortly following Shelton’s Monday night performance, “Lonely Tonight” shot into the top twenty on the all-genre iTunes chart. While it ended up being overtaken by recordings by contestants Chris Jamison and Matt McAndrew, it remains at a healthy #22 on the chart.

Its sales pace is currently twice what it was prior to Monday night’s showcase.
