Ratings: “American Horror Story” Hits Lowest Mark Since “Asylum”

Back from a one-week hiatus, FX’s “American Horror Story: Freak Show” returned to the top of the Wednesday cable ratings leaderboard.

Unfortunately, the numbers that got it there were the weakest since the 2012-13 “Asylum” season.

“Blood Bath,” Wednesday’s episode, posted a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating with 3.30 million viewers. Not merely season lows, the numbers trail those delivered by any episode of 2013-14’s “American Horror Story: Coven.”

The corresponding episode of last year’s “Coven,” which aired on 12/4/13, posted a considerably stronger 2.2 adults 18-49 rating with 4.07 million viewers, and none of the season’s installments drew worse than a 1.8 with 3.35 million viewers.
