For MTV’s “Happyland,” last week’s viewership uptick was unfortunately not the start of an admirable trend.
Tuesday’s episode of the amusement park-centered comedy, which was its third broadcast to date, drew a deflated viewership average of 350,000. That marks a decline of 19% from the 434,000 mark posted by the second episode.
Two weeks ago, the “Happyland” premiere attracted 423,000 viewers.
All three episodes of the series, which airs at 11PM, posted a 0.2 rating in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
Unhelpful to the “Happyland” cause was another viewership hit for lead-in “Faking It.” The 10:30PM ET drama, which drew a 0.3 rating with 729,000 viewers last week, mustered a 0.3 rating with 645,000 for this go-around.
Tuesday flagship “Awkward,” which airs in the 10-10:30PM slot, delivered a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 927,000 viewers. That, too, suffered a viewership decline from the previous episode, which drew the same 0.5 rating but a slightly stronger audience total of 949,000.
