The sixth episode of FX’s maintained two flavors of consistency this week.
Like the preceding two episodes, it delivered a 0.5 adults 18-49.
Like the preceding two episodes, it endured a decline in overall viewership.
In addition to the 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, Tuesday’s episode of FX’s new drama series garnered a viewership average of 1.43 million. That represents a decline from the previous week’s 1.50 million average, which was down from the 1.57 million mark set by its predecessor.
That episode, meanwhile, fell from the 1.70 million posted by the third “Tyrant” episode.
Only the show’s second episode, which drew the same 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, drew a smaller audience than this week’s episode. That broadcast’s audience clocked in at just 1.38 million.
Remarkably consistent in adults 18-49, “Tyrant” is making as strong a case for survival as could be expected of a show that premiered to a lukewarm 0.6 rating.
That case is being bolstered by a favorable weekly comparison to fellow FX drama “The Bridge” but undermined by an unfavorable weekly comparison to fellow new FX drama “The Strain.”
