Katy Perry is responsible for some of the most successful and best-received music videos of all time.
She is also responsible for the “Birthday” video.
Hoping to quickly erase the memory of that disappointment, Perry has already released the video for new single “This is How We Do,” which does not even impact radio until the week of August 11.
News of the video’s July 31 release came Wednesday via an Instagram post. That post–and two subsequent teasers–also included a photo of Katy Perry in a noteworthy outfit.
Announced as the next official single last week, “This is How We Do” aims to up Perry’s “PRISM” batting average to .600 by performing more like smash hits “Roar” and “Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J)” than the underwhelming “Unconditionally” and “Birthday.”
