“Behind the Scandalabra” Drives “Kimmel” to Ratings High

Benefiting not only from monster (albeit local-news-buffered) lead-in support from the “Scandal” season finale but from a focus on the ABC juggernaut, Thursday’s edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” hit a ratings high.

Based on metered market data, the “Behind the Scandalabra” edition of “Kimmel” posted a season high 3.4 overnight household rating.

That season high honor previously belonged to the February 27 edition, which aired out of the “Scandal” midseason premiere and featured the series’ Emmy-nominated star Kerry Washington. It scored a 3.0.

Airing against encores of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” and CBS’ “Late Show,” ABC’s talk show had no difficulty winning Thursday night’s ratings race.
