“American Horror Story” Ratings Dip, Show Still Wins Night

It appears “American Horror Story: Coven” has settled into a stable ratings groove.

And luckily for FX, that groove is so distant from the rest of the cable pack that even a slight tick downward will not jeopardize its nightly ratings crown.

Wednesday’s episode delivered a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating with 4.00 million viewers. Down slightly from the prior week’s performance, the showing still gave “Coven” a significant victory over its cable nearest competitor.

“South Park,” that competitor, posted a 1.5 rating with 2.40 million viewers.

In addition to leading among all cable shows, “AHS” also won its timeslot among all shows, period. Its 2.2 rating topped the 2.1 adults 18-49 number delivered by “CSI,” the leading 10PM series on network TV.
