It seems pretty clear that FX’s new series “The Bridge” is not en route to becoming a ratings juggernaut. But with clear stability through six episodes, it seems equally clear that the show is finding a steady audience.
Wednesday’s episode matched last week’s 0.7 adults 18-49 rating, making for the third time it has posted that rating this season.
The news was not all good, however. Viewership fell to 1.63 million, which in addition to representing a decline from last week’s 1.92 million mark, is the show’s lowest audience total to date.
Still, given that the show seems to be finding steady footing in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic, it has no reason to adopt a pessimistic outlook about its future. An upbeat outlook is further justified by the fact that the show’s performance, thus far, holds up competitively with that of FX’s winter launch “The Americans.”
That series, which stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, scored a second season renewal.
