WWE RAW Ratings Tumble Against NBA Playoffs, “Bates Motel” Stays Strong

Social media hype for an angle involving Brock Lesnar did little to assist Monday’s RAW, which suffered a ratings decline against two NBA Playoffs games.

Monday’s episode averaged a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 3.92 million viewers. All three hours fell short of the 4 million viewer mark, which will likely become commonplace for WWE as it moves farther away from WrestleMania season.

With 2.4 and 2.5 adults 18-49 ratings, respectively, the Heat-Bulls and Spurs-Warriors playoff games led the cable ratings race Monday. The earlier game between Miami and Chicago averaged 5.54 million viewers, while the latter San Antonio-Golden State showdown was good for 5.46 million.

While basketball seemed to impact RAW, “Bates Motel” held firm this week. Though it was declined slightly in total viewers (2.71 million this week), it held steady with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating.
