Shock is clearly not the theme of this year’s Academy Awards telecast. Daniel Day-Lewis became the latest odds-on favorite to claim an Oscar trophy, predictably winning the Best Actor award for his work in “Lincoln.”
Day-Lewis, the night’s biggest favorite, was considered even more of a lock to claim his category than fellow winners Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence.
He topped Joaquin Phoenix, Denzel Washington, Bradley Cooper and Hugh Jackman.
