WWE confirmed late this past week that CM Punk will address the WWE Universe about his decision to return to television.
Many insiders were sour on how WWE handled his return last week, noting that it came too quickly and effectively eliminated the “rebellion” mentality that was so crucial in getting him over this summer. His promo will thus be pivotal for the Summerslam hype and the future of his character, as he has the responsibility of explaining, in storyline of course, why a quick “re-signing” with WWE should not dampen his outlaw status.
