John Cena Responds to Osama Before WWE Championship, Insults The Rock

WWE booked John Cena to recapture the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules, but the wrestler’s first Twitter instinct was not to discuss his latest world championship win.

Instead, he addressed the US’ successful operation to kill 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden, Tweeting, “I am not certain if this conflict is over. But tonight was a very very proud moment for the good guys. God bless America.”

Earlier in the weekend, Cena’s Twitter handled death from more of a light-hearted perspective, mocking The Rock in the comment, “Just heard that yesterday the man who invented the telepromter died at 91. Somewhere right now the great one is in mourning :)”

The Rock also focused on Osama Bin Laden’s death, Tweeting, “Just got word that will shock the world – Land of the free…home of the brave DAMN PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!…FINALLY…couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present…AMERICA BROUGHT IT — TEAM BRING IT FOREVER PROUD.”
