“The Walking Dead” Ratings Rise to Record for Season Finale

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” continued its growth Sunday, setting a cable ratings record for its first season finale.

The episode, entitled “TS-19,” garnered a viewership average of 6.0 million, according to a press release from AMC. Among the coveted adults 18-49 demographic, “TWD” rose to a 3.0 rating, which represents a record for a basic cable drama series.

Among adults 25-54, the hourlong finale garnered 3.5 million viewers.

With the three nightly airings combined (the 10PM original, 11PM encore and 1AM encore), viewership rises to 8.1 million on a household rating of 5.7.
