Despite Poor Reviews, WWE NXT Ratings Build on Season 3 Premiere

The third season premiere of WWE NXT was far from award-winning television, but the episode did not discourage interested viewers from checking out the second episode–Tuesday’s episode actually built on the season premiere.

According to Mediaweek, episode two of the all-Divas edition of NXT averaged 1.203 million viewers with a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Last week’s show was good for 1.151 million with a 0.3 rating in that key demographic.

By no means is the uptick significant, nor will it feasibly be the difference maker needed to score an eleventh hour renewal from SyFy, which is due to cancel the show in two weeks, but it at least shows that WWE did not send viewers running for the hills with the critically-panned season premiere.
