While guest hosts are no longer going to be assuming the “general manager” role each week, F4WOnline.com notes that WWE was hoping to involve its next few guest hosts extensively in the action.
Throughout the week, WWE had been billing Ashton Kutcher, Monday’s host, as a “lifelong member of the WWE Universe.” Between the portrayal of Kutcher as a legitimate fan and his high-profile in Hollywood, the hope was that WWE could get Kutcher in the ring in some fashion. While it might not be to take a bump the way someone like Freddie Prinze, Jr. did, the idea is that Kutcher should get to do more than just some backstage comedy skits.
Internally, WWE had also expressed interest in getting Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the ring, although that issue might be more complicated. Speaking publicly about “Rampage” on RAW recently, UFC President Dana White said that while he has no issue with Jackson appearing on RAW, he would not so blindly approve in-ring activity.
Kutcher hosts the Memorial Day edition of RAW; “Rampage” and “A-Team” castmates Bradley Cooper and Sharlto Copley host the following week.
