Pop-country trio Sons of Sylvia received a big publicity boost during Wednesday’s “American Idol,” and the buzz is already building online.
Following the FOX show’s airing of the band’s “Love Left to Lose,” which was introduced by season four “Idol” Carrie Underwood, the term ‘sons of sylvia’ shot to number one on Google’s Trends watch.
The band, which placed first during the singular season of failed reality series “The Next Great American Band,” released debut album “Revelation” this week. The trio can also be seen supporting Carrie Underwood on her “Play On” tour.
Other performers also made a Google Trends impact–as of midnight Thursday, Shakira was at number ten and the Rascal Flatts were number fourteen. Lady Antebellum had been trending immediately following the “Idol” results show but was not in the top twenty as of midnight.
