As WWE and TNA are asking fans to choose between RAW and iMPACT! Monday, Twitter has become a source for weighing in on the competition.
At press time, TNA was trending as a slightly more active Twitter topic than WWE (3rd vs. 7th). That should not be taken as any sort of ratings gauge–TNA’s surprise-filled special event obviously carries more buzz for Internet fans (and the TNA name will generate additional curiosity for first time viewers), but when final viewership data comes in, it will easily favor the WWE program.
And not everyone on Twitter is picking TNA’s program. Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, for instance, made it clear that she supports WWE “forever.”
“TNA = tits ‘n’ ass? WWE and CM Punk forever. I LOVE YOU PUNK!,” Tweeted the pop-rock frontwoman.
