WWE and TNA might be going head-to-head this coming Monday, but that reality did not stop a TNA personality from applauding WWE on Tuesday’s ECW telecast.
“A well deserved & proper send off for a TRUE Pro & a real ECW orig named Tommy Dreamer,” tweeted TNA announcer Taz regarding Dreamer’s farewell on Tuesday’s ECW. Taz had been a colleague of Dreamer’s in ECW and WWE.
The Tuesday send-off, which confirmed ongoing reports of Dreamer’s departure, featured Dreamer putting his career with ECW on the line against Zack Ryder. Dreamer lost the match, and he proceeded to deliver a short, emotional goodbye to ECW and WWE from the middle of the ring.
There has been some speculation as to Dreamer’s next move, but as of press time, nothing beyond his WWE departure has been confirmed.
I would somehow like to see either the original or new 2 cool come back, steve blackman, blue meanie, justin credible, al snow, gillberg, and the goon… it would be great runs to keep wwe vs. tna to have one of each/tag team(s) on each show like once per month come back after or near the time of Hart’s departure.
I thought it sucked having him leave on lose and leave match, especially against woo woo woo Ryder and his bimbo. He should have been allowed to go out in a great match, like verses Christian. He should have been allowed to to go out as champion. He was the heart and soul of ECW. I lost a lot of respect for the WWE
