WWE confirmed on its website this afternoon that ECW Champion Christian will wrestle William Regal on the Summerslam pay-per-view.
A F4WOnline.com report early Tuesday said that WWE creative was complaining about not having anything serious for Christian, which led to speculation that the Christian-Regal feud was not booked to spill onto the Summerslam card. Ultimately, however, WWE decided to add a third world title bout to the show.
The card is now as follows:
WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena
World Champion Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk in a TLC match
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler
Unified Tag Champions Chris Jericho and Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme
