— TNA managed to top the significance of WWE’s release story–that of Brian Kendrick–by dropping booker Dutch Mantel and agent Savio Vega from the company’s payroll this week. Both were tight allies of Jeff Jarrett, who is presently on a leave of absence from TNA Wrestling in the wake of his personal issues with Kurt Angle.
According to sources, Jarrett was not involved in the decision-making process regarding the releases. Combined with the fact that those fired were part of his support bloc, that tidbit makes it clear that Jarrett’s influence in TNA is diminishing.

— Jeremy Piven did press for “The Goods” in Philadelphia Friday and plugging his guest WWE RAW hosting gig did not top his priorities list. A video/article on MyFoxPhilly, for instance, makes no mention of the RAW appearance and only talks about the movie, his role on “Entourage” and the Chicago Cubs.
You made certain fine points there. I did a search on the issue and found most folks will have the same opinion with your blog.
