Legendary singer Michael Jackson died Thursday, according to multiple reports. He was 50.
Known worldwide as the “King of Pop,” Jackson reportedly collapsed after what many sources believe was a heart attack in his Los Angeles-area home earlier this afternoon. Police responded to an emergency call just before 12:30PM; he was revived by on-site paramedics and transported to UCLA Medical Center.
He remained in a coma at the medical facility until just after 3PM, when he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Jackson had been rehearsing in Los Angeles for a major series of concerts–50 sold-out shows–in London.
