Variety reports that Natalie Portman has joined the cast of an upcoming medieval comedy.
The “Closer” and “V for Vendetta” actress has signed to appear in “Your Highness,” an upcoming Universal film under the direction of David Gordon Green. James Franco (“Spiderman”) and Danny McBride (“Eastbound and Down”) also star.
McBride, who penned the script with Ben Best, stars as a lazy prince who teams with his brother (Franco) to save their father’s kingdom. Portman plays a warrior princess–and McBride’s love interest.
Production begins this July in Ireland.
