Fast National Ratings Update: Episode two of “The Muppets” suffered sizable losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Tuesday’s broadcast drew a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating with 5.801 million viewers. Both numbers trail those posted by last week’s premiere, which delivered a 2.9 and 9.00 million viewers.

ABC followed “The Muppets” with “Fresh Off The Boat” (1.7, 4.77 million), “Agents of SHIELD” (1.7, 4.84 million) and a “Quantico” encore (1.0, 4.18 million).
====================

While it may not have suffered an equally significant drop in adults 18-49 (rating due by 11:15AM), ABC’s “The Muppets” endured a substantial week two fall in the overnight households.

Tuesday’s episode posted a 4.2 overnight household rating. That trails last week’s debut mark by a whopping 28%.

That drop was by far the greatest for a freshman Tuesday series. In terms of the overnight households, FOX’s “Scream Queens” fell by 14% on an episode-to-episode basis and by only 4% in the comparable time period (last week’s episode was a two-hour premiere). CBS’ “Limitless” fell by only 6%, and NBC’s “Best Time Ever” actually improved by 5%.

ABC followed “The Muppets” with “Fresh Off The Boat” (3.3 overnight household rating), “Agents of SHIELD” (3.4 overnight household rating) and an encore of “Quantico” (3.1).
