Ratings: Syfy’s “12 Monkeys,” “Helix” Fall in Demo, Rise in Viewership

Proving that skew does not hold precisely steady each week, the most recent installments of Syfy dramas “12 Monkeys” and “Helix” suffered losses in adults 18-49 but enjoyed gains in total viewership.

Friday’s “12 Monkeys” delivered a 0.22 adults 18-49 rating with 727,000 viewers. The audience total bested the 708,000 achieved by the previous episode, but the demo rating trailed that edition’s 0.26.

This Friday’s demo decline represented a second straight fall for the freshman drama. The series has, nonetheless, already been renewed for a second season.

“Helix” had a similarly mixed outing this week. Its adults 18-49 rating fell by 0.01 to a 0.18, but its viewership total increased by 23,000 to 570,000.

Syfy has yet to weigh in on a potential third season.
