Ratings: USA’s “Suits” Returns with Series Low Performance

If it felt like “Suits” returned to the airwaves Wednesday with considerably deflated interest, it is because it absolutely did.

Wednesday’s episode, which resumed the fourth season after a five month hiatus, delivered the series’ worst performance on record.

The broadcast scored a mere 0.6 adults 18-49 rating with 1.87 million viewers. Down from the 0.8 adults 18-49 and 2.76 million viewers drawn by the August 20 fall finale, the episode’s performance also trailed that of the fourth season premiere (0.7, 2.50 million) and the third season’s midseason premiere (0.8, 2.28 million).

Not simply the least-watched episode on record, Wednesday’s “Suits” was also the first to draw fewer than 2 million viewers.
