Miley Cyrus’ “Saturday Night Live” Ratings Steady With Last Week

Working for it was the vast buzz surrounding host Miley Cyrus. Working against it was the twenty seven minute delay resulting from the long Notre Dame college football game.

Those collective forces resulted in a relatively steady rating for “Saturday Night Live.”

According to Local People Meters data, The Cyrus-hosted edition matched last week’s 2.7 preliminary adults 18-49 rating. Its 4.5 household People Meters number was down slightly from the prior week’s 4.7.

Last week’s episode, the season premiere, featured host Tina Fey and musical guest The Arcade Fire. Its ratings performance was considered average by most observers.

While the ratings were therefore not strong for this week’s either, the episode, which featured Cyrus in double hosting and musical duty, generated viral buzz for its “We Did Stop (the government)” video.
