Brad Maddox, who functions as the storyline general manager of RAW, confirmed Saturday that Goldust will be appearing on Monday’s RAW.
“Since @DUSTIN_RHODES1 has asked how he can help his brother. I’ve confirmed w/ @TripleH to allow him to compete against @RandyOrton on #RAW,” Tweeted Maddox. “If @DUSTIN_RHODES1 wins and @CodyRhodesWWE apologizes, he gets his job back. So bring your paint cause it’s Goldust vs Orton monday.”
Ahead of his impending nuptials to Brandi Reed, who performed for WWE as Eden Stiles, Cody Rhodes was booked in a key match with Randy Orton on this past Monday’s RAW. By losing his match, Rhodes was fired, in storyline, by Triple H.
Following the announcement, Rhodes cut a promo on how the McMahon family has consistently buried the Rhodes family, turning the legendary Dusty Rhodes and talented Dustin “Goldust” Runnels/Rhodes into gimmicky jokes.
