Luke Bryan Plays Acoustic Set Ahead of “Dirt Road Diaries” Concert

Hot on the heels of his monster album sales week, Luke Bryan took his “Dirt Road Diaries” tour to the PNC Bank Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.

The “Dirt Road Diaries” tour represents the first major headlining tour–and latest feather-in-the-cap–for Bryan, who this past week made his case as the biggest male performer in country. His “Crash My Party,” which will likely extend its run atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second week, debuted with 528,000 first-week sales.

It represented the best total for a male country artist since 2004 and only the fourth instance of a country album topping 500,000 since 2008. The other three albums all came from Taylor Swift.

As part of the concert, Citi offered a special pre-show experience for Citi ThankYou cardmembers, which included a VIP reception, a signed lithograph and access to an acoustic seat. Publicity for the event sent through some photos:
