“Graceland” Premieres to Unimpressive Ratings Against NBA Finals

Expectations were surely softened given the hefty sports competition, but that does not mean celebration was had over the premiere performance for USA’s “Graceland.”

After many months of promotion, “Graceland” premiered to a soft 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 3.32 million viewers Thursday. Competition from the tightly-contested first game of the NBA Finals makes that soft demographic performance understandable, but if the show does not improve its marks once the finals come to a close, it would be considered a disappointing launch.

A 1:12AM encore added a 0.4 rating and 1.12 million viewers to the show’s reach.

Lead-in “Burn Notice,” which is in its final season for USA Network, posted a 1.2 rating and 4.32 million viewers to reign as the top scripted original on cable Thursday.

The post-midnight “Notice” encore did a 0.4 with 1.28 million viewers.
