Beloved “Community” Creator Dan Harmon Confirms Return

Shortly after NBC confirmed a season five “Community” renewal, websites began teasing that ousted creator Dan Harmon, who ran the show for its first three seasons, would be making a comeback to right the show’s course after its maligned fourth season.

At the time, it appeared to be a combination of wishful thinking and link-baiting.

But at a recent podcast recording, Harmon added credibility to the rumors, confirming that he had been asked to return.

He took that credibility campaign to the next level this weekend, officially declaring on Twitter, “Yes yes yes! I’m back I’m back I’m back. You can thank @joelmchale.”

Whether Harmon’s involvement was the sole difference between the beloved first three seasons and the panned fourth remains to be seen, but “Community” fans will certainly rejoice at the news that the original showrunner is evidently back in the fold.
