Report: Plans for WWE WrestleMania 29 Revealed; How Long Will Each Match Go?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter published a breakdown of the tentative WrestleMania 29 format Wednesday, revealing WWE’s current vision for the flow of Sunday’s four-hour event.

Quick to note that the players involved in The Rock vs. John Cena, Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar and CM Punk vs. The Undertaker will likely have the ability to request more or less time for their matches, the report nonetheless says that at press time, all three were expected to run in the 20-30 minute range.

Timing for the Punk vs. Undertaker match is slated to fall at the bottom of that range, while HHH vs. Lesnar and Rock vs. Cena were estimated at 20-30 minutes and 25-30 minutes, respectively.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger and The Shield vs. Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show are all being eyed as fifteen minute segments, while Team Hell No vs. Big E and Ziggy and Ryback vs. Mark Henry should each receive about 12. Ten minutes were slated for Chris Jericho vs. Fandango.

Other estimated lengths include 8 minutes for the Sean “Diddy” Combs performance, 8 minutes for the eight-person tag match and 7 minutes for the Hall of Fame introductions.
