MTV Officially Renews “Snooki & JWoww” For Season Two

Season two will evidently not be filmed in Morristown, New Jersey, as had been first rumored, but more adventures with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley are indeed coming. MTV officially renewed “Jersey Shore” spin-off “Snooki & JWoww” for a second season Friday.

The spin-off has been a ratings disappointment in comparison to the “Jersey Shore” mothership, but unlike the Pauly D spin-off, it has at least shown some stability in the ratings. Given that consistency and the show’s decent skew with young adult (particularly female) demos, its renewal makes sense for MTV.

Original series “Jersey Shore,” meanwhile, will return to the airwaves for its sixth season on October 4. Though rumored as the final “Shore” season, MTV’s press release did not formalize that claim.
