Deron Williams Officially Signs with Brooklyn Nets

The race for Deron Williams is over, making point guards like Steve Nash, Jeremy Lin, Jason Kidd and Goran Dragic more immediate priorities for NBA franchises.

Williams inked a 5-year, $100 million deal to remain with the Brooklyn Nets, putting an end to a lengthy period of fear and speculation that he would relocate to a team like the Dallas Mavericks. Acquiring Dwight Howard is far from a given for the Nets–many sources, in fact, do not like the team’s chances–but the star point guard will stay regardless.
