Charlie Sheen’s New Sitcom Deal Confirmed, Plans for “Anger Management” Show

It’s official–Charlie Sheen has inked a deal to star in a new sitcom under the Lionsgate TV banner.

The ousted “Two and a Half Men” star will topline a series based on the 2003 film “Anger Management,” which starred Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Recent rumors said Sheen would play the Nicholson role.

Variety says the show, to be executive-produced by Joe Roth, will be shopped to cable and syndication outlets in the same vein as successful Lionsgate projects like “Are We There Yet.”
