Ratings for Monday’s WWE RAW predictably fell this week, but given the weak showings all over television Monday and strong competition from the NBA Playoffs, things could have been worse.
Up against NBA Playoff games that scored a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating and 7.82 million viewers from 7-9:56PM and a 2.6 with 5.59 million from 9:56PM to 1:43AM, RAW posted a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and a 3.2 cable coverage rating. Viewership came in at 4.81 million for the first hour and 5.07 million for the latter 65 minutes, according to Travis Yanan Watches TV.
By comparison, last week’s game from 8-10:51PM, which covered most of RAW and Tough Enough, only averaged a 2.3 rating with 5.59 million viewers.
Already expected to decline from last week’s show, which featured the heavily-hyped (albeit underperforming) Rock birthday celebration, the fact that RAW viewership did not totally crash against hefty basketball competition is positive. Though basketball competition apparently eased from 10-11PM, the fact that the show got back into the trend of improving from hour one to hour two is also a good sign.
“Tough Enough,” which led into RAW, averaged a 0.9 demo rating (1.6 cable coverage rating) and 2.47 million viewers.
