Still against the NBA Playoffs but opposite limited competition from broadcast, Monday’s draft-edition of WWE RAW improved over last week’s disappointing rating.
The show moved back above the 5 million viewer threshold, scoring an average audience of 5.178 million viewers for its first hour and 5.220 million for its latter 69 minutes (hour two + overrun), according to Travis Yanan Watches TV. Among adults 18-49, the show opened with a 2.0 at 9PM but fell to a 1.9 for the second portion.
For those who track the cable coverage rating, RAW improved to a 3.5 this week.
Though the draft undoubtedly inflated the rating above what would be its organic average at this point, the good news should not end come next week. In addition to the post-Extreme Rules buzz, RAW will also feature a birthday celebration for The Rock, who consistently drew well as part of the WrestleMania 27 build.
— The 8PM airing of “Tough Enough,” which led into USA Network’s RAW, posting a viewership average of 2.452 million with an adults 18-49 rating. The cable coverage rating clocked in at a 1.7.
