WWE TV Show Gets Cancelled, Chris Jericho Confirms Return to SmackDown!

WGN confirmed Thursday that its weekly WWE Superstars telecast has been cancelled. Far from a promotional priority for WWE, the weekly C-show was similarly not a ratings smash, and the news of its demise is not entirely shocking.

The final episode will air April 7.

— Chris Jericho teased to fans that he will make a return appearance on WWE television during Friday Night SmackDown. Multiple sources, including the Wrestling Observer, confirm that Jericho’s appearance will come in the form of a video package hyping the Triple H vs. The Undertaker match. Names like Steve Austin and Jim Ross were also reportedly interviewed for the segment.
