John Cena Responds to The Rock’s WWE RAW Insults, WrestleMania Build

A returning Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson lit into John Cena on Monday’s WWE RAW, but WWE’s current top babyface kept his storyline reaction minimal on Twitter.

Confirmed as the WrestleMania guest host, Rock announced that he was specifically looking forward to encounters with The Miz and John Cena. In the case of Cena, The Rock mocked Cena’s stature in comparison to previous marquee WWE names before unloading on the wrestler’s “You Can’t See Me” catchphrase and brightly-colored wardrobe.

The Rock also made a reference to interview comments in which Cena criticized the Attitude era star for professing his love for WWE and its fans only to make a full-time commitment to Hollywood.

Addressing the verbal onslaught on his Twitter account, Cena wrote, “Rock was in rare form tonight. It was great to see him enjoying himself out there. Even if it was at my expense. I’ve been called alot worse. Just glad to see him back in action.”

The Rock is not expected to wrestle at this year’s pay-per-view, but his attacks on The Miz and John Cena will develop into an angle (F4WOnline.com speculates it will end with Rock endorsing Cena as a legitimate top babyface) for the big show.

  1. I hope the young fans paid attention to his return and how he lit up the building.. he’s the best thing that ever happened to pro wrestling.. No one and nothing could replace him. He was one of few reasons youd turn on the tv to watch WWF back in the day..

  2. Thing is I hated The Rock when he first made it big…. I say the same for Cena….. Only difference with The Rock is at least he is better than what’s on now…. He is no Stoned Cold Steve Austin
