Report: Piers Morgan Could Make $6 Million as Larry King Replacement

THRFeed reports that “America’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan could make between $5-6 million annually if he ends up confirmed as Larry King’s replacement on CNN.

Morgan, who would reportedly be allowed to continue his work on NBC’s “Got Talent,” is the frontrunner to assume the hosting gig on “Larry King Live” once King retires this fall. According to THR, the proposed three-year deal to host the nightly CNN show would recognize the NBC competition series as his first priority.

King has publicly advocated for “American Idol” judge Ryan Seacrest to fill the seat, but network brass are higher on Morgan as the replacement. Joy Behar’s name had been thrown around in online reports, but as of press time, all signs point to Piers Morgan assuming the role.
