Story On TNA iMPACT’s Fall From Ratings Grace

February 7, 2010
By Brian Cantor

After posting a high with last week’s strong 1.4 rating, there was hope that TNA had finally garnered some upward momentum and would parlay interest in its ongoing storylines into permanent ratings growth.

The early verdict on that hope was not positive, and F4WOnline.com reports that there was legitimate backstage disappointment at the news.

The show’s cable ratings dip from 1.4 to 1.2 marks a 14% decline and, essentially, a trip back to Earth for the program. A 1.2 falls within the territory TNA’s show has earned for many months.

Among total viewers, the show dipped 15% from an average of 1.867 million viewers to 1.559 million. The decline was similar for adults 18-49; the show moved south by 14%, from a 0.7 to a 0.6.
