Awesome Kong reportedly met with TNA officials yesterday to discuss her future with the company.
The female TNA performer gave notice to management earlier this week after catching heat for allegedly attacking Bubba the Love Sponge, but many believed TNA would make an attempt to talk her out of leaving.
While the details of Friday’s meeting have not yet been released, the assumption is that TNA’s focus was to calm the performer down. Over the years, many wrestlers have attempted to give notice to TNA, with the company typically succeeding in producing a change of heart.
Although the timing of Kong’s release request corresponded to the Bubba the Love Sponge incident, it is not clear the two are related.
