Backstage News On Shane McMahon’s WWE Departure

Shane McMahon’s sudden resignation from WWE remains a mystery to many within the pro wrestling industry.

According to F4WOnline.com, even McMahon’s friends were largely caught off-guard by his resignation announcement, and no one presently knows what his next step will be.

One bit of news that is breaking, however, is the report that McMahon’s departure was not simply to assist mother Linda McMahon in her US Senate campaign. While Shane may very well work with his mother on the political effort, the feeling is that something else likely happened to drive the decision.

After all, as WWE had no problem announcing that Linda McMahon had resigned from her CEO post specifically to work on the campaign, it would seem illogical for WWE to not make a similar announcement regarding Shane, if that were indeed the only reason he was departing WWE.

At the same time, as McMahon is still peacefully working in his EVP of Global Media position as he prepares for his January 1 exit, if there were some sort of incident or blowout, it obviously was not significant enough to cause a major rift between McMahon, his family and his coworkers.
