“White Chicks” Sequel Confirmed

The film received scathing reviews when it was released in 2004, but comedy “White Chicks” has scored a sequel, says THR.

Marlon and Shawn Wayans will reprise their roles as FBI agents who pose as white women in the upcoming sequel, set to be written by both Wayans–along with brother Keenen Ivory Wayans, who will direct. The plotline is being kept under wraps.

Despite the terrible reviews, “White Chicks” did strong numbers in 2004, earning more than $110 million worldwide, with $70.8 million coming from domestic receipts.

The trio most recently collaborated on this year’s “Dance Flick,” which bombed with a gross of just $25.7 million at the domestic box office.
