Backstage News: Flair/WWE, GMs, Guerrero Rumors

July 8, 2009

– A number of sources have come to WWE’s defense regarding rumors that Vickie Guerrero was severely underpaid during her tenure. While no one says she was setting earnings records, sources have said that she was getting paid the expected total for someone in her role. Reports that she was forced to pay for her own hotel room and transportation also appear to be false. There has been discussion about her treatment in the company, but it definitely appears recent reports exaggerated the negatives.

– Many WWE workers were upset with Theodore Long being put on storyline “probation” based on the mere possibility that his GM tenure could be in jeopardy in the foreseeable future. The feeling is that Long serves as a great ambassador for WWE and is a true team player–”I think they would be so poorly advised to make a switch in the management role,” a source told PWTorch.com.

– WWE officials made it clear to Ric Flair that while the door remains open for his participation, there is little interest in an in-ring return for “The Nature Boy.”

Vicky G. Should have been let go. She was terrible one of the worst ever. The return of Ted Dibiase was cool. Quite honestky though the show of late are very boring and hard to watch. They should let Kozlov win a title he makes a great heel!
