More Inside Details on Umaga’s Release, Future

The decision to release Umaga from World Wrestling Entertainment was reportedly made in the week prior to the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, says a new report by PWInsider.

Though details on his release have not yet emerged, sources say it was a situation in which the wrestler in question “had to go.” Interestingly, Umaga, real name Eddie Fatu, is presently not accepting bookings for independent promotions.

Umaga himself has told friends that he quit WWE on his own terms, but at press time, no one had been able to substantiate the claim and the going belief is that he was indeed released by management.
