Major TNA Name Possibly Leaving

In a rehash of news that circulated the wrestling world last year, there is once again talk that Steve “Sting” Borden” is reaching the end of his Total Nonstop Action Wrestling tenure.

A recent report by the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter says that Sting has informally told those close to him that he will not be renewing his contract this year. Planning to exit the promotion prior to year’s end, Sting is eyeing a departure date of “Bound for Glory.”

At press time, the feeling, according to PWTorch.com, was that Sting is not leaving TNA for the purpose of making a run at World Wrestling Entertainment and instead just wants to walk away from–or at least significantly limit his involvement in–the pro wrestling industry. Nonetheless, given that a tempting offer kept Sting on the TNA roster after he contemplated leaving last year, there is certainly a chance that Sting will end up continuing to wrestle, be it for TNA or WWE, following his contract expiration.
